MI-FLEX accessories is a family of installation fitting that have been perfectly designed for use with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. When fitted in conjunction together It will make a full system chimney.
General Application
Theses items are to used in conjunction with MI-FLEX Multi fuel flexible flue liner. Building Regulations Document J requires that a flexible flue liner can only be installed completely enclosed inside a masonry chimney. A non-masonry enclosure such as timber or plasterboard boxing in is not acceptable. All items are suitable for use on appliances up to 600 degrees (T600 designation). Suitable for use on Wood, Smokeless coal, Gas and oil.

A vital addition to our MF20 MI-FLEX accessories series, this plate is meticulously engineered for compatibility with MI-FLEX 316 and 904 flexible flue liners. When combined with other components from this range, it forms a comprehensive chimney system, ensuring top-notch functionality and safety.
General Application:
These components are purpose-built to complement the MI-FLEX Multi-fuel flexible flue liner, adhering strictly to the guidelines outlined in Building Regulations Document J. It’s imperative for the flexible flue liner to be completely enclosed within a masonry chimney; non-masonry enclosures like timber or plasterboard boxing are not acceptable. Certified for use on appliances up to 600 degrees (T600 designation), suitable for wood, smokeless coal, gas, and oil applications.
Top Fixings:
Essential for supporting the vertical weight (dead weight) of the flue liner, top fixings are fundamental. Before installation, ensure the chimney stack is fully weatherproofed. The chimney structure should be soundly constructed, with crack-free chimney pots, and appropriate flaunching at the stack’s top.
Specific Application:
This 400mm square plate serves as a pivotal support element when used alongside the Top Clamp and Top Insert Sleeve, effectively bolstering the weight of the liner at the chimney’s pinnacle without compromising its integrity.
Maintenance:
Design your chimney system for easy access during sweeping and maintenance. Sweeping should be performed by competent professionals. For solid fuel applications, refer to the list of HETAS registered sweeps at www.hetas.co.uk. Avoid using chemical cleaners or mild steel tools for sweeping stainless steel chimneys. Regular cleaning, inspection, and maintenance, preferably at least once a year, ensures optimal performance. Chimneys serving solid fuel appliances should ideally undergo sweeping at least twice a year ? at the end and start of heating seasons ? to eliminate deposits and inspect for blockages, such as bird nests.
