The VIT-Smooth 250mm Pipe – 125mm is a rigid fixed pipe designed with an effective installed length of 195mm, offering a compact yet robust solution for establishing precise flue connections.

Application:
This pipe is engineered for compatibility with gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances, boasting the capacity to endure temperatures up to 600 degree. Its primary function is as a connecting pipe, seamlessly linking appliances to Flue Liners, Chimney Stacks, or Twin Wall Flue Systems. It’s crucial to emphasize that the VIT-Smooth pipe is not suitable for penetration through combustible ceilings or walls.

Construction:
Crafted as a single skin connecting flue system, the VIT-Smooth pipe is manufactured using zero carbon steel with a Powder vitreous enamel coating in an elegant matt black finish. Its robust design ensures suitability for various high-temperature applications.

Installation:
Maintain a minimum distance of 375mm between any section of the VIT-Smooth 250mm pipe and combustible materials such as wood or plaster. Correct installation orientation mandates the smaller diameter to always point downward, ensuring condensates remain confined within the flue system. The friction-fit joint system eliminates the need for additional sealing. However, for enhanced security, joints can be sealed using fire cement or high-temperature silicone sealant to prevent condensate escape and maintain the pipe’s appearance.

Maintenance:
Routine chimney inspection and cleaning are imperative, particularly for solid fuel applications. Incorporating VIT-Smooth with access doors at directional changes facilitates inspection. Annual sweeping and maintenance of chimneys serving solid fuel appliances are recommended for optimal performance.
